Yolanda T. Dolecki

Yolanda T. Dolecki, of Gainesville, died Aug. 4, 2023.
She was a registered nurse and graduate from the Youngstown Hospital Association of Nursing in Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University, a master’s degree in education at Central Missouri State University and a PhD in education from University of Missouri.
She practiced nursing in many capacities and many states. She was the coordinator of the practical nursing program at State Fair Community College in Sedalia for five years, the state supervisor of health occupation at the Department of Education in Jefferson City for 10 years and the supervisor of Heath at Ozarks Technical College in Springfield for five years. After she officially retired, she served as the ombudsman at the Gainesville Health Care Center for another eight years.
She volunteered for the Red Cross blood drive for 20 years. She lived a full life helping others. She had a long and glorious life.
She is survived by her son and caregiver John Dolecki; her granddaughter Cassandra Pryzner of Manitoba (who she would talk with at 7:30 p.m. nightly); her son Joe Dolecki and Ruth Pryzner of Manitoba; and her granddaughter Zoe Lamus of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her husband of 68 Joseph (Joe) Dolecki.
