William Alan “Al" Lynn, 81

William Alan “Al” Lynn, 81, of Greenfield, died at his home March 16, 2023. 

He was born on Nov. 30, 1941, in the state of California to Gainesville natives Bill Lynn and Zelda (Carter) Lynn.

The family moved back to Gainesville shortly after, and Al graduated from Gainesville High School in 1959. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Air Force. During this time, he also married Darenda Sue Carr of Gainesville. They had two children.

In 1969, Al married Glennis (Mccoy) Lynn and lived in Ozark where he enjoyed being a reserve police officer and working as an engineer for Frisco Railroad.

In 1993, Al married Alice Strickland and made his home near Stockton Lake, where he enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by his current wife Alice and her family, as well as his younger brothers Ron Lynn, Gary “Butch" Lynn and Danny McGoldrick and his sons Jerry Lynn and Mike Lynn.
