Tamara Lynn Grisham, 64

 

A celebration of life for Tamara Lynn Grisham, 64, of Dora, were held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains.

Tamara died at 8:56 a.m., Thursday, July 25, at Ozarks Healthcare. 

She was born Feb. 13, 1960, at Burlingame, California, to Clarence Leonard Courtney and Hester Naomi Sams Courtney.  On Aug. 19, 2023, she was married at Dora, to Gary Grisham.  

Tamara worked as an office clerk at Wiles Title, was a cosmetologist and worked in the healthcare profession for a number of years. 

She loved to play music and did so professionally in West Plains and the surrounding communities for many years. 

She also enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, photography, gardening and floating on the river. 

Tamara loved her family, especially her kids and grandkids. She was of Christian faith and was baptized on Oct. 18, 1970. 

Tamara was an organ donor and was able to fulfill that wish of gifting life. 

She is survived by her husband Gary Grisham of the family home; four children: Heather Whittingham and husband Jeremy of New London, Dustin Laxton and wife Alyssa of Warrensburg, Jeremy Grisham and wife Jen of Willard, and Randall Grisham and wife Ashley of Dora; 16 grandchildren: Zevi, Zachary and Noah Whittingham, Laney Brown, Maverick Laxton, Brayden, Kenny, Easton, Garrett, Cameron, Gabriel, Ella, Motley, Treyton and Brynlee Rogers; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother Steven Len Courtney.
