Ruth Laverne Hinshaw, 85

Funeral services for Ruth Laverne Hinshaw, 85, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, were held April 5, 2022, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville with Brother John Fransisco officiating. Burial was at Arthur’s Creek Cemetery near Houston. 

She died March 31 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born Sept. 22, 1936, in Ada, Oklahoma to Vernon and Alice Laverne (Clark) Smith.

Ruth was very loving wife, companion, mother and grandmother. She worked for many years as a grocery store cashier. She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, as well as her spunky, spontaneous nature. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving significant other, Dieter Desch of the home; her daughters Debbie Hendricks and husband Gary of St Louis County, Sherri Redus and husband Jerry of Pacific, Vernene Parker and husband Eddie of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one sister Evelyn Sanders of Hazelwood.
