Morgan Douglas Collins, 67
Arrangements are pending for Morgan Douglas Collins, 67, of Caulfield, who died peacefully on Nov. 28, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. A graveside service at Elijah Cemetery will be held later.
He was born Oct. 20, 1954, in West Plains, the son of the late Ival Wendell Collins and Mary Francis Owen Collins. On June 25, 1977, in Ozark County, he married Terry Lee Richardson.
Mr. Collins was a retired boilermaker. He was also a loving husband, precious son, best brother and a special daddy to his children as well as a great “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He holds a special place in the hearts of his family, his friends and all who knew him as a selfless, giving, patient and truly gentle soul. His love for fishing (all night with only one bite), deer and turkey hunting, which he willingly and patiently shared with his children and grandchildren, thrilled him so.
He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his Terry Lee Collins, his wife of 45 years, of the family home; his mother, Mary Francis Owen Collins; three children, Crisi Hadley and husband James, Douglas Collins, and Leigh Collins and Thomas McGoldrick; seven grandchildren, Victoria McKee, Nicholas Hadley, Kyle Hadley, Zeriah Jones, Kailee Collins and Willow Collins; a very special great-granddaughter, “Little Scarlett” Collins; one brother, Galen Collins and wife Margaret; two sisters, Teresa Goodpasture, and Terena Hudson and husband Lionel Hudson; four brothers-in-law, Charles Richardson and wife Phyllis, Doyle Richardson and wife Joan, Jerry Richardson and wife Vicky, and Gary Richardson and wife Janet; one sister-in-law, Sherry Pemberton and husband Rocky; and many family and friends who were also family to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ival Wendell Collins; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
