Funeral services for Lodema King Haden Bent, 83, of Gainesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Clear Springs Church at Dawt. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Clear Springs Cemetery.
Lodema died March 18 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born October 25, 1938, in Kingsburg, California, to Clyde and Chloezell (Looney) King.
As a young child, Lodema and her family moved back to their little farm and log house on North Fork River. Her childhood days were spent like many others in the Ozarks, churning butter in a jar, carrying laundry to the river, building a fire to heat water, growing crops, making garden and canning their food for winter. Most of all she was blessed to have parents that took her to church and teach her about Jesus Christ.
After high school and college, she married Harold Haden and had four children. In 1981, she married Vernon Eugene Bent.
She is survived by her four children: Mike Haden and wife Maissia of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mark Haden and wife Marta of Rogersville, Jeff Haden and wife Crystal of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Michele Haden Walker of Dawt; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Fern King of Dewey, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; four brothers; and her favorite son-in-law Clint Walker.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
