Leona Joyce McDonald, 82

Funeral services for Leona Joyce McDonald, 82, of Dora, were held Feb. 11, 2022, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains.
Burial was at Little Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald died at 10:06 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, at her home.
She was born March 18, 1939, at Topaz, the daughter of Charley and Orpha Thornton Clinton.
She graduated from Willow Springs High School with the class of 1957.
On Feb. 27, 1959, she was married at Bakersfield, to Robert McDonald. Mrs. McDonald worked at Brown Shoe Factory for 18 years. She also milked cows for many years. She loved the outdoors, especially tending to her flowers and working in her garden. She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales. Mrs. McDonald never knew a stranger. When she went somewhere, she always wanted to be the first to arrive and the last to leave. She was a member of Big Springs Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, of the family home; five daughters, Charlene Causey and husband Jay and Kay Davis, all of Dora, Lora Loftis and husband Danny of Lebanon, Ohio, Robyn Mings and fiancé Jeremiah Reahr of Tecumseh and Ashley Richison and husband Eric of Warrensburg; nine grandchildren: Darrin Causey and wife Valerie, Robbie Causey and wife Sarah, Todd Causey and wife Brandi, Kyle Mings and fiancé Laiken, Dakota Mings and wife Kristi, Kayla Davis and husband Josh, Cheyenne Mings, Skyler Davis and Elijah Richison; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Randy Clinton of Willow Springs; one sister, Ruth Sheppard and husband Stasey of Willow Springs; one brother-in-law, Gerald Gasperson; five sisters-in-law, Carol McDonald of Davenport, Iowa, Della Dennis and husband Jerry of Drury, Carol Ball and husband Larry of Vanzant, Janice Osborn and husband Ronnie of West Plains, Janace Mitchell and husband Loyd of Mountain Grove and Louise Dennis and husband Clifford of Hobbs, New Mexico; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Eldon and Judy Russell, and Ed and Ina Friend.
Her parents, father- and mother-in-law, Mack and Lora McDonald; four brothers: Leon Clinton, Lenvil Clinton, Leroy Clinton and Stanley Clinton; one sister, Bernice Gasperson; one sister-in-law, Oleta Clinton; and one brother-in-law, Ben McDonald, preceded her in death.
