Janet died Feb. 17 at her home in Gainesville. Janet was born Nov. 12, 1949, in Manilla, Arkansas, the daughter of Clarence Collins and Cuba (Lamb) Collins. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1967.
Janet was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt and friend. She loved watching TV, going out to eat, occasional trips to the casino and her dog Bandit. Most of all, Janet loved family get-togethers where she could spend quality time with her family. To say she will be missed is an understatement. There will be a huge void in the lives of those she left behind.
Janet is survived by Rob Collins, who was not just her nephew but a true best friend; great-nephew Seth Collins and wife Dara; great-great-nieces Lola and Myla; great-niece Lydia Burks and husband Dylan; great-great-niece Emmy; one sister-in-law Lavern Collins; lots of friends and many other nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Helen Jean, Wanda, W.D. “Dub,” Guy, twin sister Dixie; sister-in-law Dorlene; and great-great-nephew Marshall Dale Collins
