Gene Edwin Bradley, 86
Funeral services for Gene Edwin Bradley, 86, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, were held Dec. 18, 2021, at the College and North Church of Christ in Mountain Home, with Halbert Smith officiating. Burial was at Mountain Home Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Waylen Bradley, D.E. Pleasant, Chance Strong, Larry Tinkler, Danny Pleasant and Alan Hambelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Quick, Garry Quick, Mark Page, Braiden Page, Bob Simpson, and Dale Plumlee.
Mr. Bradley died Dec. 13, in Mountain Home. He was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Edwin and Ernestine Mull Bradley.
He married Edna Kindle on Dec. 4, 1952, in Mountain Home.
He worked at a Chevrolet garage until he opened Bradley Garage, which he operated for 30 years, before selling the business to his son Gary. After he retired, he went to work at McClain Farms and spent many years hauling cattle and hay. He was a gentle, loving soul who loved to visit with anyone who had time to sit and listen. He enjoyed meeting up with his friends every day at the Cozy Kitchen.
He was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord. Gene loved his family and prayed for them daily. He loved life and lived it with a smile on his face that will not be forgotten. Gene never met a stranger and wanted to help anyone in need.
Gene is survived by his seven grandchildren: Lori Tinkler and husband Terry of Summers, Arkansas, Nichole Cunningham and husband Brad of Flippin, Arkansas, Waylen Bradley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tina Bradley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Rebecca Hambelton and husband Alan, Esther Strong and husband Chance and D.E. Pleasant and wife Tiffany, all of Gainesville; 10 great-grandchildren: Tasha Davis, Logan Bradley, Kamryn Bradley, Lauren Tinkler, Landen Tinkler, Waylon Strong, Addilyn Strong, Brooke Hambelton, Gunner Hambelton and Stetson Pleasant; three great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law Danny Pleasant of Gainesville; two sisters, Joy Robertson and Lois Pangle and husband Ray and brother Phil Bradley and wife Cheryl, all of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Joe Lynn Bradley and Gary Edwin Bradley; daughter, Gwenda Jean Pleasant; two brothers, Dale and Ed Bradley; and sister, Velma Sue Ray.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Home Cemetery.
