Evelyn Grace Evans, 83

Funeral services for Evelyn Grace Evans, 83, of Squires,  will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Ray Dobbs officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Thornfield Cemetery.

She died July 17, at her home with her family by her side.

Evelyn was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Ozark County to Doin and Dena (Scott) Watson.

She was a Christian and a member of the Frye church. She was the secretary for many years.    

On April 9, 1958, Evelyn married Carl Evans in Ozark County, and the couple had three boys: Kenneth, Roger and Randy.  

Evelyn enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking. She loved spending time with her family. 

Evelyn is survived by three sons and their wives: Kenneth and Wendy Evans, Roger and Telesia Evans and Randy and Cheryl Evans; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Lorine Huitt and Jenice Pollock; two brothers; Delmas Watson and H.B. Watson; and many other cousins, neices, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; three sisters, Pauline Wallace, Maggie Watson and an infant sister, Alice Watson; and brother Darrel Watson.
