Dorothy Nell Harless, 91

Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Harless, 91, of Springfield, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, with Brother Craig Liscom officiating. Burial will be in the Rhodes Cemetery. Mrs. Harless died Wednesday, May 14, 2022, at Spring Ridge Senior Living in Springfield. She was born April 2, 1931, in Cement, Oklahoma, to Robert James Sr and Nancy Etta (Hale) Jones.

Dorothy was a homemaker most of her life. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ogal W. Harless in July 1982. She loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, painting and taking walks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Verna Scranton and husband Max of Springfield; her son, Weldon Wayne Harless and wife Maria of Walnut Grove; seven grandchildren, Collette, Stacy, Kelli, Ridgley, Trenton, Andrew and Darren; eight great-grandchildren Zoe, Evan, Owen, Liam, Maren, Grace, Luke and Maddie.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; seven siblings; and one daughter, Judy D. Harless.
