Charity Dawn Massey, 43

 

Funeral services for Charity Dawn Massey, 43, of Dora were held Oct. 11, 2021, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Pastor Stasey Sheppard officiating. She died Oct. 1 at University Hospital in Columbia with her family by her side.

She was born Aug. 29, 1978, in West Plains, the daughter of Randall “Randy” Keith and Rosie Luvada Newton Massey. She attended school at West Plains and later graduated from Dora High School. At one time she worked as a manager with Taco Bell in Pennsylvania. She had also worked as a cook for Huddle House in West Plains.

On March 9, 2017, in Hamilton, Missouri, she married Julie Lynn Webb.

Charity enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with automobiles, and she loved being with her nieces and nephews and kids. She loved life and loved making people happy.

She believed in her Lord Jesus Christ. 

She is survived by her spouse, Julie Lynn Massey; her mother, Rosie Collins; Julie’s children, Dillan, Zachary, Kyle, Hailey and Jaylyn; brothers Randall Scott Massey and Justin Lee Massey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her father.

Burial will be in the Blanche Cemetery east of Ava, where her father is buried.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
