Brightspeed is paying for portion of insurance cost

Gainesville City Clerk Lisa Goodnight said that internet provider Brightspeed reached out to her last week to inquire about paying for a portion of the event insurance required to host the Dec. 5 Wonders of Christmas on the Gainesville square event. 

This year the cost for the insurance is $675, and Goodnight said that Brightspeed is paying for a little more than half of that amount. 

Goodnight says the insurance cost is not always one that people realize is needed when hosting events, and the city is thankful for Brightspeed’s generosity in helping cover the cost.
