The Ozark Mountain Bass Club held its February tournament recently out of the Buck Creek Ramp on Bull Shoals Lake. It was a cold day with temperatures below the freezing mark that caused the eyes on the rods to ice over. The water temperature was 44º F. Fish were caught on Alabama rigs.
The winners were Greg Phillips and Pete Pearson in first place with Marty Whisnant and Vince Akers coming in second place. Whisnant also had big bass.
The club’s next tournament will be March 17 out of Panther Bay Ramp on Norfork Lake.
