Woman airlifted to hospital with serious injuries

A 62-year-old Tecumseh woman was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield following an April 21 crash on Highway 160, about five miles east of Gainesville.
According to the report, the woman was riding as a passenger in a 2022 Tesla Model Y driven by a 67-year-old Tecumseh man when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree, sign and a fence. The report says she was wearing a seatbelt, and the driver did have insurance.
The vehicle was towed by Duke’s Towing at the deputy’s request. The crash was investigated by MSHP Tpr. A. White.
