Gainesville Elementary School Principal Ben Hopper

The Gainesville School District recently announced the addition of Ben Hopper, who has been hired as the elementary school principal for the 2023-24 school year. 

Hopper completed an undergraduate degree in elementary education at College of the Ozarks in 2011, a Master’s of Administration from Lindenwood University in 2019 and is completing his specialist degree in superintendency. Hopper also proudly holds the position of Eagle Scout.

He taught special education at the Branson Public School District before moving into administration. He has been the preschool through twelfth grade principal for three years in Union Star. 

Hopper says he and his family are excited to return home to the beauty of southwest Missouri.

Joining Hopper in his move to the area is his wife Nicole and their two sons, Uriah and Dax. In his free time, Hopper enjoys talking sports, riding bikes with his family and listening to podcasts.

Hopper will replace former Gainesville Elementary School Principal Erin Swofford, who served in the position for three years.
