Thornfield man charged with trespass, property damage in April in Theodosia

Jody Weyrauch, 47, of Thornfield, is being held on a $1,500 cash-only bond in connection with a case in which he’s charged with property damage and tresspassing at a Theodosia residence last spring.

The online docket entry by Associate Judge Elizabeth Bock shows that Weyrauch has a history of failing to appear for scheduled court hearings, and a summons is not sufficient to guarantee appearance. 

According to the probable cause statement in the case prepared by Ozark County Sheriff’s Lt. Matt Rhoades, at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, April 9, he was assigned to a call of a vandalism on Carl’s Loop. 

“Upon arrival, the victim stated that Jody Weyrauch was staying at her residence without her knowledge. She removed  his items from her house and locked it several weeks prior when Jody was arrested for a warrant. She made it clear that he was not allowed back on the property. Jody stated that he was not staying in the house because he was no longer allowed there,” Rhoades’ report says. 

Weyrauch reportedly returned to the home and broke two exterior doors, a generator and an electric welder, causing approximately $1,000 in damage. Property damage over $750 is classified as a felony in Missouri. 

The complaint says the damage included “damaging the exterior door of the residence by forcible entry, damaging the exterior door of the shop/garage by forcible entry, cutting the lead lines on a welder located in front of the shop/garage and by breaking of the bottom of the motor of a generator located in front of the shop/garage, as well as pouring antifreeze into the gas tank of the generator.” 

Rhoades found Weyrauch hiding in a barn on the property. The victim desired prosecution.
