Search warrant reportedly turns up meth, bong and pipes

An Isabella man is facing felony and misdemeanor drug charges after deputies reportedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a search of his residence Aug. 21.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies executed the search warrant at 8:12 p.m. at the Isabella residence of Jack Thomas Bohon, 41, where they reportedly found 13 glass smoking devices, a digital scale, a baggie containing white residue and a homemade glass smoking bong. All of the items field-tested positive for methamphetamine, according to Deputy Gannan Moss’ report.

Prior to his transport to jail, Bohon was searched, and on him, officers reportedly found a plastic baggie containing approximately .46 grams of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. 

Bohon was read his Miranda rights, and admitted to smoking meth prior to the officer’s arrival, according to the report. He then walked officers to his residence and showed them where his drug paraphernalia would be found inside his dresser drawers, stating that all he had inside were broken pipes. 

Bohon is charged with the class D felony of possession of methamphetamine and the class A misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (with a prior drug offense). He was arraigned on the charges before Associate Judge Raymond Gross on Aug. 25. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 31, also before Judge Gross.
