Bulldogs trounce Falcons for big win in first game of the season

The high school fall baseball season kicked off for area teams last week as the Gainesville Bulldogs and Dora Falcons faced off in the Conway Fall Classic this past weekend. The games were delayed a few hours due to extreme heat, but when the Bulldogs took the field their bats were heating things up as Gainesville pounded out 21 runs against their intra-county neighbors.

The Bulldogs bested the Falcons 21-2.

Games were then postponed due to rain.

The Bulldogs and Falcons were scheduled to play on Tuesday (Aug. 29) in a regular season game at the Bulldogs’ home opener. 

Gainesville is also scheduled to host Bakersfield on Thursday (Aug. 31).
