Sheri Denise Hansen, 84

A private burial will be held for Sheri Denise Hansen, 84, of Squires. She died on May 22, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

Sheri was born July 26, 1937, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Marvin and Francis (Prickett) Smith.  

She and her brothers, Ron and Michael grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, during the great depression.

She moved to Whittier, California, when she was 16 years old where she lived for the next 36 years. She then traveled the northwest, settling in Missouri with her daughter, Lisa in 2016 until her untimely death from cancer. She was an artist, outdoorswoman and caregiver. 

She is survived by her children: Lori, Lisa and Christopher, and seven grandchildren. 

Private burial will be in the Norris/Piland Cemetery in Squires. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava. Online condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
