Ruby Gean Loftis, 87

Funeral services for Ruby Gean Loftis, 87, of Gainesville, were held Oct. 31, 2024, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville with Brother Ron Felker officiating. Burial was at the Thornfield Cemetery.
She died Oct. 26, at Baxter Health Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas, surrounded by lots of family. She was born Oct. 9, 1937 near Barren Fork to Everett Harley and Artie (Pippin) Harley.
Ruby lived most of her life in Ozark County. She treasured her family more than anything! She always put God, her kids and family before herself. Ruby raised four children and instilled in them God, family and hard work. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She loved to go camping, fishing, gardening, working in her flowers, thrift stores, and yard sales. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ruby is survived by three daughters: Lowana (Ted) Collins, Sheena Grisham (Don Coates), Carolyn (Roger) Hambelton; one son Tommy Loftis; nine grandchildren: Michael Ellison, Randall Grisham, Brandon Ellison, Leslie Rogers, Dustin Hambelton, Danielle Gunnell, Cody Loftis, Maddy Loftis and Sawyer and Rowdy Collins; 15 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; siblings Evelena Braun, Wanda Stewart, and Danny Hogan.
She was preceded in death by her parents Everett Harley and Artie Hogan; one sister Madean Broxterman; one infant sister Berlean; and one nephew Jeff Pettit.
Memorial contributions may be made to Thornfield Cemetery or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
