Raymond Roy, 34

Funeral services for Raymond Dale Roy, 34, of Ava, were held July 14, 2021, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Brother Ronnie Roy, Brother Mark Roy and Pastor Buddy Boyd officiating. Mr. Roy died July 10, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield with his family by his side.

 He was born May 14, 1987, in Mansfield, the son of Mike and Angel Baird Roy. He graduated from Ava High School in 2005. On June 2, 2012, in Rome, Missouri, he married Sarah Marie Lemons.

Mr. Roy was a lineman and foreman for the White River Valley Electric Co-op in Ava, where he had worked for 14 years. He was a Christian. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, derby cars or any kind of cars, and attending school sports with Sarah. He loved and was dedicated to working on the farm and to his work.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his parents, Angel Baird Roy and Mike Roy; his brothers Michael Roy and Brady Roy; his grandparents, Dale Roy and Olive Roy; mother-in-law Evelyn Hedges; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Francis Baird.

Burial was in the Huffman Cemetery near Ava.

Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
