Patricia Shireman, 65

Graveside funeral services for Patricia Darlene Shireman, 65, of Wasola, were held Oct. 17, 2024, in the Herndon Cemetery in Wasola with Pastor Oren Alcorn officiating.

She died Oct. 14, at Gainesville Health Care Center.

Patricia was born Dec. 29, 1958, in Springfield, to Durile B. “Buck” and Dorothy Elizabeth (Trask) Shireman. 

She was a Christian and believed in the Baptist faith.

Patricia enjoyed horses, fishing, flowers, gardening and watching hummingbirds. She also liked word searches, crosswords and reading. She also liked watching Gunsmoke and bear hunting shows.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth; her brother, William “Bill” Harper and his wife, Eva; her sister, Debra Zell and her husband, Larry; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Gary Lee Hoover and Earnest Markus Harper; sister, Katherine Sue Mitchell; her companion, Glen Caudill; and her uncle, Dudley Shireman.
