Patricia Kastning, 92

Arrangements are pending for Patricia Irene Kastning, 92, of Salesville, Arkansas, formerly of Brixey and Ponca, Nebraska. Mrs. Kastning died Feb. 14, 2021, at her home. 

She was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Sublette, Kansas, the daughter of George and Irene Stanard Lance. She attended and completed school at Romance. On Sept. 22, 1945, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, she married Doyle C. Kastning.

She was a member of the Highway 5 South Church of Christ in Mountain Home.

Mrs. Kastning was a homemaker most of her life. During her years in Ponca, she owned and operated the Silver Spur Café. She loved her Lord and savior and was a shining example to her family of how Christian love is shown to others. She loved to quilt, sew, crochet and make crafts. She especially enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Viola Houghton of Paradise, California; her children, Doyne Kastning of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Bob Kastning and wife Lana of Ponca, Irene Lewis and husband Larry of Salesville, and Kevin Kastning of Brixey; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle; and her son, Bill Kastning.

Burial will be in the Souder Cemetery.
