Nancy Goodwyn, 72

Graveside services for Nancy Goodwyn, 72, were held March 25, 2022, at Clear Creek Cemetery in Springfield.

Nancy and husband Bob had a cabin in Ozark County where they frequently visited. 

Nancy died March 21, 2022, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. She was born on September 18, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Ellen (Christensen) Wray. 

On February 5, 1972, Nancy and Bob Goodwyn were united in marriage. They shared over 47 years together, growing in love for one another until Bob’s death in 2019.

Nancy was a homemaker in every possible way. She was committed to taking care of her children and husband. She was the “best cook around” and loved to host and have family and friends in her home. Nancy also loved music, especially singing.

Above all, Nancy loved Jesus and His light shone through her. 

Nancy is survived by daughter Sherri Goodwyn of Minnesota and her children, Hannah and Sarah Palmgren; son Justin Goodwyn and wife Jill of Willard along with their children Emma and Jonah; son Grady Goodwyn and wife Kelley of Willard along with their children, Isaiah, Josiah, Eli, Gideon, Jonathan and Joseph; daughter Wendy Beard and husband Scott of New Mexico along with their children, Euell, Jamin, Elim and Jaren; son Tyler Goodwyn and wife Anna of Willard along their children, Eva, Ellen, Grant, Evolette, Jett and Brex; siblings, Joan, Tom, Peggy and Mike; other family and many friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; and sisters Gloria and Mary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Nancy’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Missouri Chapter and may be left or mailed to the funeral home, PO Box 217, Ash Grove, MO 65604.
