Michael Scott Andersland, 66

Funeral services for Michael "Mike" Scott Andersland, 66, of Gainesville, were held Nov. 4, 2025, in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with burial following in the Loftis Cemetery in Wasola with Pastor Michael Brinkmeier officiating. 

He died Oct. 29. Mike was born April 12, 1959, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Olav Selmer and Agnes Constance (Brudvig)  Andersland.

Mike was raised in Emmons, Minnesota. He graduated from high school in 1977. He then continued his education and got an Associate's Degree at Alexandria Tech. 

On Aug. 3, 1985, Mike married Debra Ann Klessig at Mankato, Minnesota. They were blessed with five children. 

Mike was a truck driver and mechanic. He had most recently been working for Walmart. 

Mike enjoyed working with his animals, being in the outdoors and hunting. His favorite activity was spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was a Christian and attended Promise Land Bible Church. 

Mike is survived by his wife, Debra; children and their spouses: Megan and Elliott Zink, Joel and Joelle Andersland and Emily and Dallas Zink; grandchildren: Deborah, Miriam, Margaret and Caleb Zink, and Samuel and Danielle Zink; siblings and their spouses: Steven and Sunshine Andersland, Bruce and Beth Andersland, David and Laura Andersland, Craig Andersland, Jim and Anessa Andersland, and Christine and Kurt Dayton; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and two sons: Scott and Nathan.
