Mary Belle Head Green, 74

A memorial gathering for Mary Belle Green, 74, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was held Sept. 23, 2025, at Conner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Mountain Home. 

Mary Belle died Sept. 18 in Mountain Home. She was born Aug. 31, 1951, in Gassville, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Ola Belle (Ellison) Head.

She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1969 and, in her later years, enjoyed working on her family's genealogy. She wrote several articles for the Old Mill Run, colorfully describing the history of Howards Ridge, where she grew up, and her family and friends there.

Mary Belle is survived by her husband, Winfred Green; one daughter, Wendee Green; one brother, Bobby Head; and three grandchildren: Asphyn Forest, Mia Green and Ellie Green. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robbie Green; and one brother, Barney Head.
