Marie Crisp, 98

Funeral services for Marie Crisp, 98, of Gainesville, were held May 31, 2022, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Wayne Stewart officiating. Burial was at Lilly Ridge Cemetery.

Marie died May 25 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Siloam Springs to Bert and Dovie Collins.

Marie grew up in Siloam Springs. She married Hayes Crisp, and the couple made their home in Gainesville.

She owned and operated a café not far off the town square.

Marie loved to travel, work in her garden or just be at home with her dogs. She always found beauty in the simple things.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by one son Leon Crisp of Gainesville; one daughter LaRane Wright of Marshfield; four grandchildren: Robert Crisp and wife Krista of Gainesville, Peggy Williams and husband David of Tecumseh, Kim Hickerson and husband Rodger of Marshfield, And Russell Wright Jr. of Kansas City; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five children; and two great grandchildren.
