Lonnie Joe ‘Buck’ Strong, 63

Funeral services for Lonnie Joe “Buck” Strong, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville with Jeff Dotson officiating. Visitation were from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Faye Cemetery.

He died May 1, in Joplin. He was born Jan. 27, 1963, to Landon and Margaret Strong in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Lonnie lived his whole life in Ozark County. He worked for years at Giles & Kendall Cedar Mill. He also worked a few years for Wal-Mart Cont. He loved his family, friends and fishing.

Lonnie is survived by his mother, Margaret Strong; one daughter, LaDonna Harvey and husband William; five grandchildren: Ella Harvey, Haley Harvey, Alyssa Harvey, Mia Harvey and Delilah Harvey; two great-grandchildren: Avery Faye Simpson and Wyatt Alexander Massey; one sister Diane Riley and husband Jeff; and many cousins, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Landon; brother Lynn; and sister Donna; as well as aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
