Leslie Phillip Snorgrass, 70

Leslie "Les" Phillip Snorgrass, 70, of Tecumseh, died March 30, 2023. No funeral is planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

He was born Sept. 12, 1952, to Norman J. and Barbara M. (Hines) in Lakewood, Colorado. His family moved to Tecumseh when he was a teenager, and he remained on his family farm until his passing.

Les had been a heavy equipment operator. He was a retired maintenance worker for MoDOT and a former school bus driver. He particularly enjoyed seeing the children who rode his bus. They were all very dear to his heart. 

When he wasn’t working, he never missed the chance to go hunting or fishing. Les loved the outdoors and always looked forward to deer season each year. Opening weekend of rifle season was always an event with many friends coming together to hunt at his farm. His wife was one of his best hunting buddies. 

More importantly, he loved his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone at any time. All it took was a phone call, and he would be there in a few minutes. 

Most importantly, he loved God. He was a member of the Wade and Cross Street Church of Christ in Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

Les is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Susie Snorgrass; his children Scott Williams and friend Dessa McBride of Tecumseh, Jess Williams and wife Irene of Raymondville, Lacey Snorgrass and husband Scott Wilhite of Edgerton, Kansas, Stephen Williams and fiancé Jackie Pitt of Westminster, Colorado; his grandchildren Zack Sirota, Aaron, Kassidy and Kaylee Williams, Cailyn Garner, Liam McBride, Shelby and Nathan Williams, Lukas, Allison and Kennedy Sewell, Tucker and CammiDonn Wilhite, Walker Lopez, Nolan Bassham, Gracie Williams, Michael and Isabella Pitt; four great-grandchildren; his favorite mother-in-law Peggy Cleveland; brothers-in-law Grover Cleveland and wife Annie, Gary Cleveland and wife Sondra, Allen Heavener and wife Mavis, Carl Murphy and wife Lindsey, all of the Caulfield area; special hunting buddies Travis Howard, Gabe Zahn and Taylor Garner; his school bus kids including Caleb Frazier; a host of additional nieces, nephews and friends. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Sybil (Collins) Heavener and father-in-law Jesse Cleveland; sister Jodi Foster; nephew Michael Foster; his hunting buddies Donald Freeman, Leonard Zahn and Dave Wilson.
