Karl J. Cox, 54

Funeral services for Karl J. Cox, 54, were held Nov. 25, 2025, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville. 

He died peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 13, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Oct. 28, 1971. Karl was a very outgoing and interesting person. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, wood carving and spending time with his loved ones, laughing, joking, telling stories and driving backroads. 

He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Cox; his three sons: Logan Jones, Kyle Cox and Brayden Cox; his grandchildren: Myles Cox, Ariyah and Ledger Jones, Nevaeh, Elijah, Zamyrah Miller, Brooklynn Wilson, Emmorie, Brealynn Thompson; his sisters: Jennifer Renee and Jeannette Williams; his mother Ellegene Mahoney, Josa Richards; his siblings: Shannon Hill and Kendra Hill; and his added daughters: Lorraine Harm, Ericka Lutz and Jaden Thompson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
