Jaunita May (Jenkins) Friend, 95, of Wichita, Kansas, died at her home Sept. 28, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born July 5, 1930, in Pontiac, to Charles Waco and Roxie Edith (Plumlee) Jenkins.
She married Max Shaw in 1947, and had two children. She married Joe Friend in 1957, and had two children.
Jaunita is survived by her children: Sandra (Shaw) Greeno of Wichita, Mitch Friend of Springfield and Paula (Friend) Dunbar of Whitesboro, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Roxie; her first husband Max Shaw; her second husband Joe Friend; her brother Leroy Jenkins; and her son Ronald Shaw.
No services are planned. Burial is at the Thornfield Cemetery.
