Graveside services for George A Friend, 79, of Hindsville, were held April 15, 2024, at Friendship Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Graham officiating.
He died Thursday, April 11, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born June 16, 1944, in Gainesville to Efton Friend and Juanita Murl Friend.
George was a truck driver driving and owning his own truck. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He raised a big garden every year.
Survivors include his wife Sue Friend of the home; two children: Melinda Friend of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Billy Joe Friend of Hindsville; one sister, Wilma Pendergrass of Cabool and one brother, Charles Friend of Springfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and three brothers.
