Evalyn Mae Franks, 84
A graveside funeral for Evalyn Mae Franks, 84, of Wichita, Kansas, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, in the Souder Cemetery. She died July 26 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 5, 1937 in Ozark County to Ruby O. and Verna (Prock) Gardner.
Evalyn grew up in Gainesville and attended Gainesville High School. She then moved to Wichita, where she lived most of her life.
She began a career in nursing and worked as an LPN for many years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Wichita.
She kept busy with her work, but her one hobby was Elvis Presley. She adored him and anything Elvis related. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters Lana (Allen) Meadows and husband Larry of Tecumseh, Brenda Jacobs and husband Scott of Wichita, Kansas; one sister Elma Collins of Gainesville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents R.O. and Verna Gardner; two brothers Eugene Gardner and Neal Gardner; and one sister Flo E. Gardner-Williamson.
