Earlene Freeman, 90

Funeral services for Earlene Freeman, 90, of Dora, were held Feb. 23, 2026, at Needmore Church of God in Dora, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial was at Smith Chapel Cemetery in Zanoni.
Mrs. Freeman died at 7:34 p.m. Feb. 18, at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
Earlene and her twin brother, Earl, were born Sept. 1, 1935, at home near Elijah, to Amos and Lillie Duncan. She attended school at Mount Olive, a one-room school near her home, and graduated from Bakersfield High School as valedictorian with the class of 1953. On July 30, 1954, Earlene was married to Donald Freeman, and they were married for 67 years until his death on Feb. 17, 2021.
She worked at Reliable Life Insurance in Webster Groves, General Motors in St. Louis, American Motors in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Kellett-Landis Abstract in West Plains. She also worked with her husband raising beef cattle at their farm on Bryant Creek for 55 years.
Earlene enjoyed cooking, garment sewing and gardening, and especially preparing meals for her family for holidays and special occasions.
Mrs. Freeman was a member of Needmore Church of God for many years, teaching youth Sunday School for 25 years.
She is survived by one son, Ron Freeman and wife Barbara; two grandsons, Justin Freeman and wife Alison and their children, Molly and James; and Brett Freeman and wife Jessica and their children, Lilly, Addie, and Evie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her siblings: Joe Duncan, Noma Gabel, Earl Duncan, Pauline Barnett and Venita Roth; and two special friends: Betty Stanley and Louise Southards.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottersville Baptist Church Food Pantry, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, MO.
