Debra Jean Simmons, 66

Funeral services for Debra Jean Simmons, 66, of Caulfield, were held Aug. 2, 2025, at the Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville, with Pastor Ashley Pendergrass officiating. Burial was at Howard Cemetery near Bland.

Debra died July 26, at her residence. She was born June 30, 1959, to Ronald E. and Alice (Treis) Schuchardt in St. Louis.

Debra married Richard Simmons on Feb. 12, 2000, at Ebenezer Stone Church, outside of Gerald.

She enjoyed cooking, ATV riding and working on puzzles. She was a school bus driver in the Gasconade Co. R-2 School District and Bakersfield School District.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Simmons of the home; children: Kerry Haines of Bland and Khloe Simmons of Caulfield; brothers: Charlie Farmer and wife Sarah of Pevely, Robert Schuchardt and wife Sherri of Owensville, Frank Schuchardt of Springfield and James Farmer and wife Faye of Gasconade; sisters: Joyce Koepke and husband Rick of KoKomo, Indiana, and Ginny Shoemaker and husband Jerry of Owensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Alice Schuchardt; a son and a daughter both in infancy; and brother, Ronald “Butchy” Schuchardt.

Arrangements under the direction of Gottenstroeter Chapel, Owensville.
