Funeral services for Corine Malavet, 58, of Gainesville, were held March 31, 2023, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville with Ross Harris officiating. Burial was at Brushy Knob Cemetery near Gainesville.

She died March 27, at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. She was born Nov. 10, 1964, in Brooksville, Florida, to Lee Bolton and Nancy Smith.

Corine grew up in Brooksville and moved to Gainesville in 2009. She worked for Mountain Home (Ark.) Public Schools for 10 years. She loved her family, going to church and working. She was the kind of person who never seemed to sit still and was always busy doing something. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to many. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Luis Malavet of the home; her mother Nancy Stafne and husband Gerald of Gainesville; her father Lee Bolton and wife Anita of Kentucky; two daughters, Haley Rowland and husband Jason of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Tiffany Malavet of Winsted, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Myles and Jayce Rowland; two brothers, Waylon Smith of Brandon, Florida and Gayle Bolton of Spring Hill, Florida.
