Cindy Raellen Russell, 52

Funeral services for Cindy Raellen Russell, 52, of Thornfield, were held March 24, 2025, in the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava with Pastor David Dye officiating. Burial was in the Thornfield Cemetery.
She died peacefully on March 19, surrounded by family.
On May 17, 1972, Cindy was born in Springfield to Guy and Faith Haskins. She and her brother Phil grew up on their family farm in Thornfield. Cindy attended school at Thornfield and later at Gainesville High School. She continued her education and received an associate degree.
Cindy and Luke Russell were married in Ava in 1997, and they were blessed with two children, Christopher and Rebecca, whom Cindy loved dearly.
She started working for the U.S. Postal Service in 2013 in her hometown of Thornfield. She worked at many different post offices in many local areas. Her work was very special to her, and Cindy worked as long as her health permitted.
She was a Christian and a member of the Thornfield General Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Making memories with her grandchildren was important to her, and they had many to share.
Cindy is survived by her children: Christopher Russell and Rebecca Cockrum and her husband Bryce; her grandchildren: Aurora Russell, Denver Cockrum and Veronica Cockrum; her brother, Phil Haskins and his wife Dana; several nieces and nephews; two aunts: Leah Haskins and Naida and Raymond Haden; and many friends and extended family.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Faith Haskins.
