Charley Ray Pace, 69
Funeral services for Charley Ray Pace, 69, of Branson West, formerly of Isabella, were held May 15, 2026, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville with Brother Jimmy Kyle officiating. Burial with full military honors was in the Isabella Cemetery.
He died May 9. He was born Sept. 4, 1956, to Charles and Imogene (Tabor) Pace. Charley was a Marine and loved vintage cars. He was a mechanic; many called him a “shade tree mechanic.” Charley restored a 1966 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe. His nephew Justin Byerley finished it just in time for the 2025 Hootin an Hollarin parade and car show. It was a dream come true, and Justin made sure that it happened.
Rest in peace, Charley. You lived your life your way. Oorah, Marine! Job well done.
Charley leaves behind three children: Amanda, Russell and Brittany, from previous marriages; his loving partner, Karen Jackson; her brother, Mark and her mother, Dorothy. Karen dedicated her life to Charley. She was his significant other, caregiver, and his best friend. He also leaves behind one biological brother, Alfred Murrill Pace; an acquired sister, Josa E. Richards; one acquired brother, Michael W. McCullough; a very special nephew, Justin Byerley; and many more relatives and friends.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister, and his lifelong friend, Jim McCullough. Charley will be missed by many.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
