Allen Edgington, 81

A memorial service for Allen Edgington, 81, of Theodosia,  will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the VFW in Isabella. He died Dec. 22, 2024, in West Plains. He was born March 27, 1943, in El Dorado, Kansas.

He was the beloved son of Boyd and Ruby. Allen spent his formative years in Kansas before serving his country with honor in the U.S. Navy. On Feb. 14, 1966, he married the love of his life, Judy, and together they raised three children: John, Kenny, and Sherri. In the early 1990s, Allen settled in Ozark County, where he became an active member of his community. He volunteered with the local fire department as a first responder. He was also a dedicated volunteer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla. Allen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his children, Kenny and Sherri; his granddaughter, Danielle; and three great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy; son John; grandson David; and his brother Wes.

The family added that it is with heavy hearts that they acknowledge the passing of his son-in-law, Danny, on March 6, 2025, a loss that would have deeply saddened him.
