Hayes sisters racking up medals for Bakersfield golf

It has been a busy and successful couple of weeks for the Bakersfield Lady Lions golf team, with sisters Madalyn and Massey Hayes turning in several strong performances. Both golfers earned medals at the Mountain Grove Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 10. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, the sisters teamed up for a scramble at Lost Woods Golf Course in Theodosia, shooting a 71, just one over par. The pair returned to tournament play Friday, Sept. 18, at Randle Hinkle Golf Course in Mountain Grove for the Mansfield Tournament. Massey Hayes placed second with an 80, while Madalyn Hayes finished fifth with a 93. Coach Michael Mahan said the Lady Lions’ golf program would not be possible without the support of its sponsors and supporters and expressed his appreciation.
