Daniel John Meger, 73

Daniel John Meger, 73, of Gainesville, formerly of Jordan, Minnesota, died Nov. 29, 2023.  A celebration of life is being planned for spring 2024.

Dan was born June 22, 1950, in New Prague, Minnesota. He worked as a carpenter since graduating in 1968. Dan enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and gardening. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. 

Dan is survived by his wife Wanda; son Chad Meger and wife Alyssa of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; grandchildren Paige, Ella and Noah Meger; sisters: Geraldine Claytor and husband Jim of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Mary Young and husband Jim of Lonsdale, Minnesota; brothers: Francis Meger of Montgomery, Minnesota and Eugene Meger of New Market, Minnesota. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Meger; stepfather, George Peterka; mother Loraine (Mader) Peterka; along with grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
