Constance (Yerk) Farel, 78

Constance (Yerk) Farel, 78, of Bakersfield, died April 18, 2022. At Connie’s request, there will be no service at this time.

The daughter of Viola and Clarence Yerk, she grew up in the Baptist and Methodist faiths. She married Gene Farel in Belvidere, Illinois.  

Mrs. Farel loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. 

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene Farel, of the family home; one son, Marc Farel of Belvidere, Illinois; one son-in-law, Tom Shattuck, of Poplar Grove, Illinois; three granddaughters, Emily Kusters and husband Brett and Hannah Farrell of Racine, Wisconsin, and Jenna Shattuck of Poplar Grove, Illinois; one grandson, Evan Shattuck of Poplar Grove, Illinois; one great-grandson, Wallace Kusters of Racine, Wisconsin; three sisters, Shirley of Belvidere, Wisconsin, Doris of Sharon, Wisconsin and Margaret of Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Michelle (Missy) Shattuck, her mother Viola, her dad Clarence (who was killed during World War II), brother Joseph and sisters Judy and Lois.
