John W. McMullin, 71

Graveside services for John W. McMullin, 71, of Tecumseh were held Feb. 19, 2022, at the White Oak Cemetery near Tecumseh. 

He died in Mountain Home, Arkansas, Feb. 16.

John was born on July 27, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to J. Edwin and May Weldon McMullin. Following a tour of duty in the Navy and travels throughout the United States, he shed his Yankee roots and settled in Tecumseh in the early 1980s. He considered the area to be one of the most beautiful places on earth and spent his happiest times rowing on the North Fork River.

For many years, John was a well-respected breeder of Labrador Retrievers.

John was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by a sister and brother as well as two nieces and their families.
