Wasola-area business, The Concrete Works LLC, has expanded to a second location in partnership with Noble Concrete & Precast LLC of Lamar.
The expansion increases the production of the current plant almost 10-fold with additional trucks, employees, state-of-the-art batch plant, ready-mix delivery and new precast agricultural and structural products.
All of the past agricultural products, currently offered in the continental U.S., are already in inventory and being produced daily from the new location.
The Magnumstone retaining wall blocks are also in full production, as well as an expanding line of retaining wall products and contractor supplies from the retail store on site.
The new plant in Lamar has exceptional interstate exposure on I-49, Director of Operations and Wasola resident Cleeta Sweeney told the Times.
The location allows for easy access for incoming and outgoing freight, as well as visual reference for the many products offered. The 15-acre site is set up for large scale production and generous inventory storage. With the current high demand in the cattle feeding industry and the infrastructure and construction industry, Concrete Works/Noble Precast is seeing historic number of orders for products, Sweeney said.
“It is a perfect fit! We have looked for two years to expand and grow as our current location just could not keep up with the demands of our customers. Noble Concrete & Precast LLC had a several year relationship with us, and the goals were the same for all of us. Best service and best quality, working with the best people. We are fortunate it has all fallen into place,” she said.
Sweeney also pointed out that Noble came with its own association with a well-experienced contractor in a partnership with Sprouls Construction Inc., which has been in the construction industry since 1986 and has a history of residential, commercial, industrial and municipal projects.
The intention is for Noble Precast to get state certified for ready mix and precast structures on state projects. Currently, The Concrete Works is a DBE (disadvantaged business enterprise) as it is woman-owned, and the new partnership includes two new women in joint ownership: Jennifer Regier and Alexi Breytenbach, both of Lamar. Being a certified woman-owned business is beneficial to contractors that need the DBE-points to qualify on federal and state projects.
The partnership will continue to enjoy membership in the BuyMo program for Missouri made products. Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and wife Claudia have already made a preliminary welcoming visit to the new facility as construction of the batch plant progresses.
To celebrate and introduce the new location, there will be a ribbon cutting in October. For more information about the event or about the products and services offered, visit the webpage www.theconcreteworks.com, follow the company on Facebook or call the company’s office at 877-464-7575.
