Saintz BBQ Co., located on Highway 160 in Theodosia, will have its grand opening Friday, May 28, beginning with lunch service at 11 a.m.

Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Matthew Howard and wife Lanessa say they are looking forward to operating the new restaurant in Ozark County after they moved to the area following Matt’s retirement from a 25-year Air Force career.

A decorated Desert Storm and Operations Enduring Freedom veteran, Matt has spent the last 10 years perfecting his BBQ recipes.

The restaurant will feature traditional Texas-style smoked meat including ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage, along with original sides. The Howards will also be serving traditional breakfast items and a “homestyle item” for lunch including such choices as chicken spaghetti, carnitas, meatloaf and BBQ spuds on rotation throughout the week.

Saintz BBQ Co. is open for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday and for lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. The restaurant will be closed Sundays and Mondays.

Future plans include free delivery in Theodosia and a shuttle to and from nearby lakeside areas.

For more information visit saintzbbq.com or call the restaurant at 417-273-2273.
