Gainesville square building owners - are you interested in having your building power-washed?

In 2020, Rob Collins cleaned the face of this historic building on the west side of the Gainesville square that once housed Century Bank of the Ozarks. Now, on behalf of the Gainesville Lions Club, member Linda Harlin is drafting a grant proposal that will be submitted to the White River Valley Electric Cooperative's Plugged In Grant Program aimed at having more buildings on and near the Gainesville square cleaned. If you are a building owner in that area and would like to be included in the project (and haven't spoke with Harlin already), please contact the Ozark County Times at 417-679-4641 to leave a business name and phone number. Leave a message if there is no answer. If the project is chosen to be funded by the grant program, the cleaning would be paid for by the grant and not the building owners.
On behalf of the Gainesville Lions Club, member Linda Harlin is currently preparing a grant proposal that will be submitted to the White River Valley Electric Cooperative’s Plugged In Grant Program aimed at sprucing up the building exteriors for businesses on (or near) the Gainesville square. The proposal falls under the grant program’s category of “enhancing neighborhood apperance or cleanliness.”
Although she’s been able to contact several building owners already, she wants to extend the offer to those who may not have been contacted yet.
Harlin says, if awarded, the grant would pay for Rob Collins of Chaney Monument to power-wash and clean the buildings’ exteriors from built-up dirt and grime that has accumulated over the years, especially some of the brick-faced buildings.
The project is currently at the application stage. Once a budget is formalized and the application is prepared, it will be submitted for consideration to be funded.
If you are the owner of a building on or near the Gainesville square and are interested in being part of the project and potentially having your building power-washed, call the Ozark County Times office at 417-679-4641 by Tuesday, April 19, to provide your business name and phone number. Please leave a message with your business name and phone number if there is no answer.
