Food pantry gets grant for new pallet jack

The Ozark County Food Pantry was recently awarded an urgent needs grant in the amount of $6,000 through Ozark Food Harvest of Springfield, which enabled food pantry volunteers to purchase a Crown 4500 pallet jack. “This makes moving pallets of food and recycle pallets possible,” said Anita Chappell, Ozark County Food Pantry Director. “We’re all excited to see this pallet jack in use, making it easier and safer for our volunteers to maneuver here at the pantry.” Food pantry volunteers, pictured here from left, include: front row: Guy Hambelton, Doris Hambelton, Chelsea Richards, Tom Bentele, Ann Kimbrough, Carolyn Riff and Linda Smith. Back row: Robert Soreson, Larry Goodall, Wes Baddgor, Ashley Freas, Aubri Freas, Gary Smith and Koty Smith. Anita Chappell is not pictured, as she took the photo.
