Caulfield man killed in Howell County crash

Caulfield resident Rodney Winchester, 69, was killed in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 10:20 a.m. Sunday in Howell County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, Winchester was traveling westbound on Route FF, about 12 miles southwest of West Plains, in a 1995 Mercury Sable when the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree. 

Winchester, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. C. L. Horstman. 

The vehicle, a total loss, was towed from the scene.
