Lutie FFA plant sale is April 27 - May 15 at school greenhouse

The Lutie FFA plant sale will run from Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 15. Lutie FFA adviser Kathalee Cole will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays during that time for people to purchase plants. Those interested should call 417-273-4150 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. or email kcole@lutieschool.com to arrange a time to visit the greenhouse. 

Vegetable six-packs, which sell for 75 cents, include peppers (California Wonder bell pepper, Anaheim, jalapeno, sweet banana, Habanero Orange and Serano), tomatoes (Big Beef, Mr. Stripey, Tamatillo Verde, Tomatillo Purple, Celebrity, Cherokee Purple, Large Red Cherry and Big Bertha), squash (straightneck and crookneck) and burpless cucumber. 

Flowering hanging baskets of SunPatients will be available for $6 each (color varieties include neon pink, orange, purple and white, neon pink and orange or orange and white. 

Individual flowering plants are $2 per plant and include SunPatients (blush pink, orange, purple, neon pink and white), geraniums (dark red, timeless fire red and timeless orange) and coleus (Velveteen or Freckles orange).

Ornamental sweet potato vines (tricolor or margarita lime color varieties) are $5 per pot. Boston ferns range from $10 to $20 based on size, and spider plant hanging baskets are $5 each.
